What happens with ocean freight?
With a ocean freight shipment, we transport your freight overseas. From the foreign port we transport your goods by road to the delivery address. It may take several to several weeks before your freight is delivered abroad. The exact duration depends on the destination.
How does ocean freight work?
If you choose a ocean freight shipment, we offer you two options. These are:
- One shipment per full container load
- One shipment per less container load
One shipment per full container load
If you want to transport a lot of freight, your shipment will be transported per full container load. We fill one or more container(s) with your freight. When shipping per full container load, a container is only filled with your freight. We then do not use partial loads. The container will then be used exclusively for you.
One shipment per less container load
If you want to transport freight of a slightly lower volume, your shipment will be transported per less container load. Your freight is loaded into one container. This container has also been filled with freight from other clients. The container space is then used optimally.
What happens if you choose Cargo Specials?
Before we transport your freight, we first calculate the freight volume. Depending on this volume we offer you the best option. If it concerns a large freight volume, we will transport your freight overseas. If you want to transport less freight abroad, this can be done by e-mail road transport or through one air freight shipment.
